Looking for a place that teaches glass blowing in south west MI
I'm really interested in glass art and wish to learn more about the different techniques like glass blowing, lost-wax method, lampworking, fusing, slumping and also the coldworking methods.
So far I've experienced a bit of fusing and a bit of lampworking in small craft studios but I'm really looking forward to learning how to make bigger stuff and I wonder if there's a school/studio nearer to me (currently in Singapore) which offers courses on glass art.
Thanks in advance! Would really appreciate your answers. ![]()
For my AP art class I have to create a piece that involves glass. However since I'm taking the class for graphic design it must be more creative and visually interesting than a simple still life. I'm really struggling for ideas and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions/ideas would be great.
Can i take it to a shop. Will it cost me much
what else can you tell me about blowing glass pipes?
I recently visited chicago and saw an amazing brilliant blue glass plate (for about 0) in one of the small art galleries. And I can't remember the name!!!
I want to buy it now that I know it will fit in my display cabinet.....but I lost their card and all I can remember is that the shop was on the magnificent mile. If anyone can help that would be awesome!! (not to mention saving me a 5 hour drive each way to find the place!!)
