I have made a few mosaic art chess boards and table tops with mosaic glass and ceramic tile artwork on top. The sides are about 2 to 4 inches around and need some type of sturdy but interesting coverings...
Can someone give me some ideas?

I am a self learned artist ,usually work with oil ,also do glass and ceramics . I would like to sell my art and thus need to know the things one needs to ensure before getting started. Personally , I don't prefer to egg on to people to check out my artwork, or let's just say i am not much of a marketing person . Kindly suggest how to get things started.

I recently found a small old glass bottle and want to try an art form I saw before on similar old bottles. The crafter would take some string that is hemp like in material, and make an intricate wrap around the bottle like a holder, I would like to know how to do this. If someone could point me to a website or explain how to that would be appreciated. The wrap isnt just taking twine or such and wrapping it up the bottle and gluing it.

I'm working on an art project and need to glue clear glass to a painted piece that has several coats of matte polyurethane on it. I need to be able to clearly see what is behind the glass. It also needs to be a strong bond that could stand up to weather. I tried 527 glue but it caused the paint to bleed and spider. It looks awful!
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm desperate!!! Thanks

Here is a picture of the glass http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n12/mattmo91/?action=view¤t=washestate044.jpg
Here is the info I have about it:
The window is 60" wide X 78" tall About 1962 my father removed it from a spanish style mansion built about 1900 in Los Altos Calif. The glass is in good condition some small cracks and some of the brace bars need to be resoldered it looks like one 2" x 3"piece was replaced. The body part of the picture is double glass. The original wood frame is around the window. It has been stored indoors since 1962.
